Low Quality Link Building, Google Cracks Them Down

Most SEO’s are bothered about the changes that took place in Google for these past several months. There are several websites whose ranking dropped drastically last February. This brought many SEO companies into brainstorming just to figure out the new algorithm mazes and puzzles set by Google. Many forum sites discuss about what is happening and how to deal with this change in Google. This state is here to stay since algorithm is designed to be moving mysteriously forward and it is indefinite on what particular strategy should we apply.

On the other hand, this evolution moves towards the betterment since this change will give credit on an ethical link building and will give the right consideration on the on-page optimization to start an aggressive link building campaign. This is evident when Google Panda low quality and copycats in content. And for this year, Panda eliminates low-quality and unnatural links. Gone are the days when spamming was victorious. If we looked into thing, there isn’t a lot of changed in SEO strategy. It’s just that in developing a site we should be as natural as every possible way we can. Well, this is logical since we are dealing with human users not the search engine.

Here are some DO’s and Don’ts of SEO for this year:

On-page is a big YES for this year. Reviewing your site over and checking for duplicate content through Copyscape or quoting some stuff in Google will not do you any harm. Make necessary changes if you find some defects in wordings or the flow of the content. It is important that they are relevant and natural

In keyword stuffing it is better if you concentrate on writing for human users. You have to create a content that is natural even if your keyword density will go down to one percent. It is still much more effective than having a five percent density but looks unnatural.

META titles and description should also be given emphasis and must be written well. It should show a complete sense instead of just filling it up with keywords.

Another thing to take note is keyword per page. Google is scrutinized more on the home page than inner pages and this is the reason why most link building and SEO is done on homepages. To avoid Google’s nose away from those efforts try to do most of your SEO jobs on inner pages and do some branding and top keywords on your homepage. This will lead in generating good traffic if you are ranking eighty percent in landing pages.

As I often say, make everything as natural as you can, including your profile link. Combine do follow links with no follow links. Do some diverse methods in link building. You may use forums, blogs or link profiles as long as it is natural and normal.
